Realtors’ and attorneys’ services have different scopes. While realtors are experts in finding great market opportunities, attorneys might assure the security of the deal, providing risk assessment and resolving any legal issues.

The Brazilian law prevents the same professional to act as realtor and attorney. Furthermore, the law stablishes acts that must be performed exclusively by attorneys, such as legal counseling. Thus, it is highly recommended to integrate a legal team to any real estate business.
